Senior/Community Relations Executive


What You Will Do

The incumbent is responsible primarily for corporate communication matters and public education activities. Volunteer Management is a secondary role. He/She will work with the Community Relations Manager to enhance the image and branding of HCA.

The scope of work will generally encompass the following duties:

  • Lead in production and management of HCA newsletter
  • Develop ideas, write and/or edit all articles for all HCA publications, including social media stories and including the annual report. This will include event coverage
  • Produce all corporate collaterals, including photography, video and display media and website
  • Assist in managing media coverage by proactively seeking story leads 
  • Work with team in organising HCA events including fundraising and public education programmes, roadshows
  • Assist in community outreach e.g. liaison with third party vendors for tie-ups
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, training and retention of HCA’s volunteers. Work with volunteers to coordinate and organise activities/events for our patients, matching volunteer preferences with areas of need. Organise events and activities to recognise the work of volunteers

Who You Are

  • Degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ related experience 
  • Experience in writing for newsletters and press releases as well as in event organising
  • Good multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to relate to people of all levels and work well in a team 
  • Able to work efficiently in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some familiarity with social media is preferred
  • Have a sense of urgency and responsibility

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
