Medical Affairs Assistant Manager


What You Will Do

You will support the Medical Director (MD) in all administrative matters, manage the clinical administration team and provide support for clinical services initiatives.  The scope of work will generally encompass the following duties:

  • Support the MD in all administrative matters which include the following:
    - document and monitor progress of Clinical Services Strategic Thrust work plans

    - work with clinical teams to implement pilots/new initiatives, research projects and regular audits   to achieve  outcomes/key performance indicators
     - draft relevant policies and oversee their operationalisation by putting new processes in place
    - ensure SOPs are reviewed regularly and updated

    - conduct regular internal evaluation of services to maintain service standards

  • Manage the clinical administration team in the following: 
    - provide secretariat support for the Clinical Review Committee and other related meetings. This includes sending out invites, taking minutes of meeting, following up on matters raised and compiling status reports for MD as needed
    - manage matters related to clinical referrals, ad hoc training visits, outreach and education   

  • Support Clinical Services initiatives which include drafting MOUs, LOAs and service contracts
  • Handle feedback from patients or their families on clinical care. This includes investigating cases, drafting replies and providing input to improve HCA’s existing systems and processes within the clinical domain
  • Collect and collate findings on service satisfaction regularly for reporting and review
  • Work with the IT department to maintain clinical information in the Intranet  and oversee set-up of sites including:
    - migration of the department’s work files and SOPs
    - publicity materials, achievements, research papers, poster presentations, brochures, pocket guides 

Who You Are

  • Degree in any discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of similar work experience in a healthcare setting
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to multitask, work independently and in a team
  • Proactive, resourceful, meticulous with an eye for detail

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
