Snr /Executive , VME (Education and Community Programmes)

What You Will Do

You are responsible for promoting and executing HCA Hospice Care events focusing on education and community programmes like Young Caregivers Programme (yCG). It includes working with educational institutions, youth groups and social workers to achieve the objectives of the various programmes.

 

This position handles the education and community programmes job scope and it also encompasses the following duties:

 

  • Creates awareness and actively promotes yCG as the leading educational programme to schools/institutions and youth organisations through effective channels
  • Identifies and secures new accounts through various means such as mass marketing campaigns, electronic email blasts, mailers, roadshows, social media, etc.
  • Develops existing accounts. Must be willing to reach out to leaders such as Heads of Character and Citizenship Education Department, Principals and at the same time, instil excitement in the students to put their learned values into feasible actions for the elderly and/or the sick
  • Facilitates workshops and value-in-actions (VIA) programmes for students, ranging from Primary 3 to tertiary education
  • Proposes new ideas and shares thoughts on VIA programmes, guides students and implements feasible ideas. Develops and coordinate service learning projects e.g. design project objectives & deliverables
  • Establishes accurate and reliable cross departmental communications in a timely manner
  • Recruits suitable volunteers and trains them to be facilitators and/or to perform administrative tasks
  • Engages volunteers through effective communications and activities
  • Co-ordinates and matches appropriate facilitators for the outreach sessions in a timely manner
  • Audits facilitator sessions and gives feedback
  • Collates, tabulates, scans and inputs data for outreach
  • Updates the database records and prepares reports as and when required

Who You Are

  • Recognised degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Outreach will be an advantage
  • Passionate about elderly care issues
  • Good command of written and spoken English,
  • Good Microsoft office skills – Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Independent, proactive and resourceful
