More than $430,000 raised at HCA Charity Golf 2016!
14 November 2016

It’s that time of the year again where all golfers come out to play at our annual HCA Charity Golf 2016 event.

Held on 21 October at the Singapore Island Country Club, the event received an overwhelming response with all 36 flights sold and 141 participating golfers!

Though the day may have started out gloomy with looming dark clouds, the sun soon peeked out of the clouds and our golfers were raring to go!

Each player brought their best swing to the greens!

After a fruitful afternoon of golfing, everyone gathered for a gala dinner where they could let their hair down and indulge in an array of activities planned for the night.

To kick start the evening, dancers from ACTFA Dance School put together an invigorating performance and impressed many with their energetic yet elegant moves.

The auction saw items such as exquisite Persian carpets, Claude Bernard watches, a golf set sponsored by MST, and paintings up for bidding. At the eleventh hour, a donor, inspired by the work that HCA does for our patients, sponsored tables at Peony Jade in addition to the ongoing auction. Thanks to all the generous sponsors and donors, the auction was a huge success and nearly $40,000 was raised!

Trophy prizes were also awarded to the top 7 individual golfers.

Mr Lim Boon Heng, HCA’s patron and guest-of-honour for the event was presented an artwork by a volunteer and donor. The painting depicted “So Singapore” beverages such as Milo Dinosaur and Michael Jackson (a mix of soy milk and chin chow drink).

The night concluded with a total of $430,000 raised. However, the greatest take-away would be the immense outpouring of charity from everyone present at this year’s HCA Charity Golf. We would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
