Farewell Dr Akhilesh, MD, friend and confidant
06 January 2016

Teary eyes and alluring voices of our staff filled the atmosphere as they sang their hearts out to Dr Akhilesh, Medical Director of HCA Hospice Care for the past 14+ years. Dr Akhilesh’s devotion to HCA is exemplary to many and has encouraged the clinical staff to persevere in all that they do. His work at HCA has definitely left a deep imprint in the lives of our staff and beneficiaries.

“He is a father to us. A disciplinarian in times of need and one who showers us with love at the same time,” says Dr Dennis.

Having a close and special bond with Dr Akhilesh, the nurses sang “You raise me up” with the best voice they could offer. The evening was filled with photo-taking, selfies and uplifting speeches to Dr Akhilesh for his great and sacrificial work.

On the front page of a book specially handmade and presented to Dr Akhilesh was a portrait of him drawn by a young talented patient from Star PALS. We would like to take this opportunity to appreciate and thank Dr Akhilesh for his dedication to HCA Hospice Care since May 2001. Dr Akhilesh’s entry into HCA has maximized the potential of every individual and brought HCA to another level. Here are some of the many milestones he brought HCA through:
